3D survey

Release time:2020-04-13

The challenge with all 3D resistivity surveys is the large number of data points required. The data points are required so that a high enough resolution can be retained, despite an additional dimension.

Conventional resistivity meters need sub-units or switchers for 3D surveys. The ZZ Universal is not only a stand-alone instrument, but also capable of being ed together to perform 3D surveys.

As the figure below shows, two ZZ Universal systems can be ed together to form a 128 or 192 electrode matrix, enabling users to carry out 3D surveys. Users can add as many additional instruments as they want, making these surveys modular.
