Applications

The challenge with all 3D resistivity surveys is the large number of data points required. The data points are required so that a high enough resolution can beretained, despite an additional dimension.


Conventional resistivity meters need sub-units or switchers for 3D surveys. The FlashRES is not only a stand-alone instrument, but also capable of being linked together to perform 3D surveys.


As the figure below shows, two FlashRES systems can be linked together to form a 128 electrode matrix, enabling users to carry out 3D surveys. Users can add as many additional instruments as they want, making these surveys modular.
